Student Welcome Back and Code of Conduct Overview
In accordance with Jeffco Policies, students need to review the Jeffco Public
Schools Code of Conduct. This handbook details Jeffco’s policies, procedures,
and student expectations.
Please take particular note that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeffco
Public Schools developed specific health and hygiene protocols to enable us to
maximize in-person learning while ensuring the safety of our students, staff,
and community.
If a student attends in-person learning, the failure of a
student to comply with these expectations and the willful defiance to follow
direction from school staff will be considered grounds for student discipline up
to and including expulsion.
As a reminder, face masks are required for all staff and students. Students may
not wear neck gaiters/buffs, bandanas, knitted mask, or masks with breathing
valves. If your child is not wearing an approved mask, we will provide them
with one. At all times that students are on campus, they should make every
effort to keep at least a safe six-foot distance between themselves and others.
In addition, social gatherings will not be allowed, which includes hanging out in
the Commons, Gym, Library and Cafeteria.

First Day of School Message from Principal Paxton
How did it go?
As we all experienced this morning, there will be a few technology hiccups as we start the
school year. Thankfully the Conifer staff and our students were able to work through the
technical glitches and move forward. That’s what Lobos do!
As we settle in for the next two weeks of remote learning, it is vitally important that ALL
students logged into their classes every school day at the beginning of each class. That
means every day, whether it’s Green, Silver or Conifer day.
In addition, please make sure your child is prepared to learn by dressing appropriately for
school and sitting in a quiet place (without background noises and distractions). Please see our CHS Online Expectations for online learning.
If your child is experiencing internet issues at home, encourage them to call the phone
number associated with the Google Meet or Zoom class session. If you don’t see a number,
please email their teacher.
For more information on getting the most out of the online learning experience, please
clink on this Link for step-by-step instructions for remote learning and much more!
Thanks!!!
