Planning to go to college?
Follow these main tips for success...
*Planning for college is a big task. Stay organized by following the checklists for Seniors, Juniors, and Freshman/Sophomores.
*Check below for important documents! "Steps to apply to College" and the "Transcript Request Form".
*Naviance is a "must use" tool for planning your life after high school, especially college.
Make sure you log in often and do your research a little at a time.
*College fairs and visits are happening all the time, check the Post-Grad Center, bulletin boards, Naviance, and the College Information tab often.
*The most important thing to remember is to not miss your deadlines- don't wait until senior year... deadlines for college and scholarship applications AND school work = a lot to keep organized!
*Remember to check the Scholarship Information Board located in the Post Graduate Center. We post most local scholarships here. Also CHECK NAVIANCE!
*Start making the most of your summers (9th -10th grade) by participating in meaningful experiences that can help build up great resumes, applications, and scholarship funds!
*Volunteer work, summer camps, and your own voyages all help you stand out from the crowd.
